Previous post was just me throwing a pic up on line so I could post it on a forum and get some advice.
I spent from Christmas to July 18 working solidly on my van to get it back on the road i thought it would only take me 4 weeks, how wrong can you be.
So back to this post, this my daily, it started as 2016 Ducati Scrambler Icon in red, and from before I even had it this was my vision.
The final piece to the puzzle was fitting the gorgeous Racefit Growler 2 titanium exhaust that I got second hand but in brand new condition last easter, and getting it mapped properly, but I was waiting until after the desmo service this summer to fit it and get it re mapped.
I finally settled on getting a custom map done by Sam at Hammer and Tongs Performance in Warrington, after hearing horror stories about people send their ecu's to rexxer to get a re-flash done and it being impossible to just get a simple reflash done on the Euro 4 (post 2015) ecu's by rexxer dealers locally.
Well you would normally hope to find a bumper bar ( and in in my case tow bar also )

But what I appear to have in place of the bumper bar is a load of crusty brown sh!t and the start of some tin worm.

Black bumper bar is one I refurbed, just added it to the pic for reference against the brown mess currently living in my rear bumper.

Fyi if you start to hear crunching when you step on the rear bumper expect something like this underneath.

I entered into the endeavour with my eyes wide open, being of sound mind and body, and with fairly good all round mechanical skills. I've re built forks before and felt that I had done enough research in that I knew what I was letting myself in for having read Dereks post on his installation.

http://www.scramblerforum.com/threads/installing-andreani-cartridge-kit.4063/

The right leg was as I expected and went pretty much to plan, but for two minor issues, unscrewing the allen key out of the bottom of the fork leg was tricky. I'd already cracked the bolt of while the fork was still in the bike but struggled once it was dis assembled as everything just span inside the fork rather than unscrewing, the trick was to disassemble everything then apply pressure to the end of the damper rod while un doing the allen bolt. The second snag concerned andreani's dumb ass move in deciding to use an allen bolt in the replacement cartridge that had a f##king 7mm which is a far from standard size, i do have one but it was a for a 3/8 driver and wouldn't fit through the bottom of the fork leg. Thankfully a t45 torx is a great fit and I used that instead to tighten the bolt. Awesome, one leg done.

This is where all my problems a started, namely with the medlesome grub screw that secures the bottom of the forks to the stantion. Andreani's own woe ful instructions tell you to machine out the peened out head of the grub screw before undoing it and then use a blow torch to heat up the axle clamp and a special tool to unscrew the fork leg. Its at this point I should have just given up and having done the vast majority of the dis assembly labour just taken what remained to a very local Ohlins approved suspension specialist.

But no, I'm pretty handy on the tools I think, and i press on, and resort to drilling out the grub screw, and this ladies and gentlemen is where I really dropped a bollock, inspite of trying to be very careful and wrapping the drill bit in tape to set a depth and taking it very steady, to cut a long story short I went way too deep and right though the fork tube. But I didnt find this out until my vist to said local suspension specialist, which was required , as there was absolutely no way I was going to be able to unscrew that fork tube out of the lower section without making a huge mess of one or both pieces.

So enter the smug technician in said specialist who seemed to take a small amount of pleasure in telling me I'd made a right royal mess of everything and he had no idea how I was going to be able to fix it, and he would unscrew the lower leg for me but all the threads might pick up inside it and screw everything further. I got him to crack on any way and left the shop 25 quid lighter for the 2 minutes it took them to unscrew the bottom of the tube, and with a very sick feeling in my stomach and the knowledge that had been imparted on me that I wouldn't be able to complete the job myself due to the forces needed to screw the leg back in and that a replacement tube would be about 350 quid. Well as far as I'm concerned the whole front end isn't worth that as it currently sits so that wasn't an option.

I mulled the problem over while I drove home, while I bathed my little boy, while I put him to bed, while I had my tea and eventually arrived at the decision that "they" could all get f##ked and I was going to fix it all myself.

I went out to my garage, had a good look at everything, fired up my welder and my dremmel and after 2 or more hours of welding and grinding I had successfully managed to weld up the hole from the inside of the tube and using what i imagine to be the worlds smallest needle file clean up the external threads on the outside of the tube where the hole had been plugged.

Ok, biggest problem solved, let battle with re assembly commence. I had already taken a load of accurate measurements of all the parts so I would be able to make sure that I would be certain when the tube was fully screwed back into the lower piece. It screwed in with bare hands ok to start with, followed by using sticky rubber coated gloves when the bare hands started to slip, and that last part where your getting it past the o ring in the fork lowers required something substantially more forceful (anyone is welcome to dm me for details on what I did but I'm not posting them on an open forum as its far from best practice and i cant be arsed with loads of key board warriors shooting me down) so with the tube eventually fully seated with its threads loctited and a new grub screw doing feck knows what in the lower, the rest of re assembly went without a hickup.

I think with the benefit of hindsight, I would have paid to have the lower leg removed and re fitted by the professionals with all the right tools, and I'd say don't bother attempting it unless your a fucking pro. If you're ok on the spanners the do the right leg and all the dis assembly on the left but stop there.

Its far from an easy job but I'm hoping it will be well worth all the effort.

I've just had Bridgestone Bt023 sport touring tyres fitted to the wheels too while they were off so I'm hoping for a massive (positive)difference when I get back on the bike.

And there ends my tale. I'm just glad I can weld and am stubborn enough to have faith in my own skills and not be but put off by people who fix a problem by throwing money at it.
What a thing of lovelyness it is.

Only 150 are being produced right here in good old Bolton and if I had a spare 8k I would have one for sure. As it is I'm trying to work out how I can have one, but its a sunny day bike for sure, and right now I cant have 8k sat in the garage waiting for the 4 sunny weekend days a year I'm free to ride.

But god damn I its fucking fit.
As per the last blog the Ducati Scrambler won in my search for a new bike and I collected it at the end of October, awesome just in time for winter.

Here's a quick update on my Ducati

Everything is as expected, the suspension is lacking, and the seat, oh dear god the seat, why oh why haven't they done something about the seat yet. Its such a pain in the ass, literally, you can push your thumb into the foam all the way to the base, all because of that stupid scoop for the worlds smallest tool kit, that by rights should be living in the rear (tool ?) storage compartment thus negating the need for pain inducing ass crippling recess in the base.

But fret not, I have a plan, and will be addressing the seat just as soon as I've made my new front mud guard mounts and got it fitted.

As I plan to ride my bike through winter and would like to stop as much filth as possible being cannoned at the front of the engine, I have been making some support struts to fit an aluminium mudguard I already had that was originally for another project. After a great deal of cutting filing bending welding and grinding plus more test fits than I would of liked it was done.

I've damaged the guard a little bit during some of the test fits where I was clamping it, but you live and learn and they aren't too obvious. This bike is no show pony tho so I'm not too fussed, and my original paint on the supports was far from perfect as it was being a dick and I ran out of time to faff with it as the crap weather was upon us and I just wanted the guard fitted.

I managed to get my first service out of the way after 3 weeks of ownership. They fitted the low bars that should of come on it from the factory and fortunately I was able to pick the new bar clamps and clock mount before fitting to get them painted black, the black bars and silver clamps just weren't going to work for me.

Wow, what a difference the low bars have made, looks aside, the bike steers easier and its more comfortable to ride. The lower bars must have altered my riding position to pull me forward a bit and take some weight off my coxix as the seat is now marginally less painful over the same ride. I still think the seat is awful and have a second seat that's a work in progress.

My bigger front guard is working well but the volume of filth that comes back at the front of the bike off the front tyre is staggering, never in all my years biking have I had this. It musr be the tyres.
I'll be changing them soon so will report back if there's a difference.

Other comfort related news, there's an M shock waiting to be fitted as soon as I can pin down a willing volunteer to help me.
I'm no word smith so I'll keep it brief.

I won't lie, my favourite pre test was the BMW, I mean come on, its fucking beautiful, but so it should be for 12 grand.

So the BMW was first, the day was a scorcher and I had a great time riding the bike but it really did take me all day to get used to the shaft drive and parallel twin, however by the end of the day I was loving the engine and the sound track that came with it from the stock exhaust. The seat was ok for an hour or so but after that I needed a break. Brakes were spot on as you'd expect from a new bike. BUT, and here it comes, the riding position just wasn't for me, perhaps it was just too different than the bolt upright KTM, perhaps if I'd gone from my old 1200 Bandit to the BMW then the difference would have been marginal but as it was I found it too much and for that reason its a no to that bike for me.

Next up was the Ducati, apart from the stupidly high bars that needed adjusting and pushing back before it was comfortable to ride and a damn site less stupid to look at, it was a straight off win. Cracking strong engine, that pulls well, nice Brembo 4 pot on the front that works as it should. I jumped straight on the motorway from Ducati Preston to head home so I could adjust the bars, I shot up to 80 and sat there for a while, needed do a quick overtake, wound the throttle on and off she fucked. It was very pleasant. Handled nicely, but I did find myself catching my toes on the floor a bit when I got too over enthusiastic through the twists, but generally it was all good. The suspension was, well frankly a bit odd. Sometimes I was happy with the suspension and sometimes it felt bloody awful, so I guess its ok at some things and not at others. The seat, was ok for an hour or so, which is no different any other bike I've owned but it could definitely use some more padding, which is fine apart from the cost, as the seat is so low I can get away with another inch or so of padding and still be far from on my tippy toes at the lights. Its a great looker and with the 0% deal on until the end of September is sorely tempting.

Last but not least came the Triumph, I wasn't expecting to much to be honest, from looking at the power figures, they are much lower for the street twin than the other two bikes I tested but as soon as I wound that throttle on, all that brochure blurb about the torque being in the sweet spot was true, it pulled like a fucking train and was a blast to ride, handled and stopped great, and I really had to use the brakes to get me out of trouble a few times. My demo bike was fitted with the bench seat which is what I'd want fitted if I was buying it as in my opinion just transforms the look of the bike. the problem is that my back side was aching after only 25 mins, and it continued to do so for the rest of the test, oddly it didn't get any worse, just ached for the whole 3 hrs I was on the bike. And what a fun 3 hours it was, I had a great time riding the bike but there was just a couple of things that I couldn't get let go. The lack of power meant that it really ran out of steam at the top end, and the whole bike when you really got up close had a bit of a cheap look to it and I couldn't help but feel that the 2000 mile old demo was starting to look a bit rough round the edges, so god only knows what state it would be in after a few years with me.

So the winner is the Ducati, it needs the low bars fitting for definite and I'm not sure how long the tyres will lat with me commuting on it but all in all its the one for me. Fingers crossed I can sell the KTM privately so I don't have to take the trade in price I was given.

So I left off last time saying that the support pieces from the shock mount up to the sub frame loop were taking ages, and they did, but eventually I got them sorted and here they are.

I then proceeded to make a bit of a meal of welding them on which in
turn led to a weld grind weld grind weld grind marathon, but that was
kind of the point of doing this, I'm learning, on a nice little bike
that I'm not too fussed about being a perfect show bike.
I've also knocked up some indicator mounts to mount on the indicators of the back of the shock
mounts.
Once I was finally happy with the welding on the loop and supports, I started on the mounting tabs for the seat base. After much deliberation I went for two bolts through flat bar at the front of the frame and a single tab at the top of the loop.
With the seat base mounts in place I started on the seat base using 3mm aluminium. I made a template by wrapping tape over the frame tubes then drawing the centre line of the tubes onto the tape to give me the outline of the seat base. I ended up making 2 seat bases as I want to have a go at making quite fancy shaped seat and a plain seat to get the bike back on the road which is taking long enough as it is.

Next up was time to get some padding on the base, I had no idea how long this was going to take, with the electric carving knife I wanted to borrow falling through, I had to use a big kitchen knife, stanley blades and my dremmel to cut and shape the foam. the front end was obviously the hardest to get to fit, so it was trimm offer up and repeat and repeat and repeat. I got the rest of the shape by cutting the edge off with a stanley blade then sanding the foam to round out the new edges.
Er and now I have to fess up, I have had the idea of adding a tail loop and doing a Brat style type conversion on this bike for ages.
I bought a kicked up loop to go on the rear sub frame and then spent ages thinking about it and working through in my head the various steps that would have to happen to complete the job. I also wondered how long could it possibly take, could I get it done in a day, optimistic I know but I had my best mate to help out so there would be two of us on it. I managed to get a day reserved for being absent for the day during the christmas break and so I was determined to get on it and see what could be achieved. Unfortunately my helper had child care issues so I was no my own.

One before shot.

So off came the seat, rear mud guard, brake light and indicators, then I used my new hand held electric reciprocating saw to cut the rear subframe off just behind the shock mounts, before I used a slitting disc in the grinder to cut the welds on the support sections that supported the rear subframe. I only left them on to do this as it was easier to do it on the bike. Obviously there was a good bit of measuring before I started with any cutting.

The loop I bought came with slugs to go in the tubes so the loop bike frame ends needed drilling so the slugs could be welded in. I also drilled some extra holes in the loop as I eventually want to run internal wiring.
I welded the slugs into the loop first on my bench as it was far easier.
The slugs made it really easy to get the loop lined up and ready for welding on, I would not like to have tried to do it without them. I left a small gap between the tubes to help with penetration when I welded them together.
I also had to spend a little time mucking about mocking up a new mudguard. This wont be happening this time round as it will require even more work and I am supposed to be trying to keep this bike on the road as a winter ride and I've already fucked that up by not having it back on the road before the end of christmas hols.
I got the loop welded on by the end of day one and started reshaping the support pieces which was taking a very long time, grind - offer up, grind - offer up, grind - offer up, and repeat and eventually I got one the right shape.

I have got a bit further but that will have to come in another update.

First coil I ordered off evil bay was the wrong type, I needed a twin spade terminal one, so after trying to get the wrong one to work and making a horlics of it, blowing loads of fuses and getting really pissed off I worked out that I had the wrong coil.

That finally arrived and I fitted it along with a new plug cap just to be on the safe side.

I then used the bike for my daily commute, for 3 or 4 days of a week before I left it alone for the weekend. Result I thought, winter bike on the road I thought, pah how wrong could I be.

Went to use it first thing Monday morning and the battery would barely turn the engine over, had to wait until the weekend to check it out properly, I charged the battery and left it 24 hrs and then checked it again and it had dropped 1volt, so new battery it was.

Decided to go for it and bought a teeny tiny li ion one from a very nice seller on the bay. Finding it was a bit of a nightmare as most people are trying to sell you a replacement for what you already have in your standard bike, when what people like me (who are definitely not working on a project bike) are looking for is the smallest battery available that will turn their engine over and work with their bike, this little beauty is 80x80x95 and is so light that I nearly throw it over my shoulder every time I pick it up.

New and old for comparison

This of course has necessitated some work to the battery box to make sure this little un sits nice and snug. I've hit my little mods to the box with some of my favourite one coat anti rust black spray paint since I took the pic below. Pics of everything re fitted again once the paint has dried, but that's likely to be after Christmas.

Most exciting news tho, instead of investigating the clutch issue I have, instead of refurbing the forks, during the christmas break I have a day reserved in the workshop, and my mate Paul is coming over to give me a hand, and we will be chopping the back of the frame rails off and welding in a nice loop with a kick in it and then making up a new seat and fitting a new rear mudguard. Should get it all done in a day no probs, right??

I'm going to go for a bit of internal wiring out to the back end to try and keep things clean and tidy, but that might have to wait a bit as its not essential to keeping the bike on the road.

Bit of a hick up with the mot but it passed on the re test and is on the road. The tester must have had his Friday rush on as the was more play in the rear swing arm bearings than our local play ground. I rode it for a couple of weeks but there was some dodgy handling going on so I thought I better get it sorted.
What a job that turned into, swing arm removal was a piece of piss,

but getting the bearings out was a complete nightmare, they must have been the originals, I ended up smashing the cage and needle rollers out before welding onto what was left so I had something that I could get purchase on with the bar I was using to hammer them out. Repeated welding and the associated heat plus some considerable hammering and generous doses of plus gas finally had the remainder of the bearings release their grasp on the swing arm.
I was quite rough with the swing arm during this whole process and had successfully removed some good chunks of paint so sanded them back to bare metal and it was during this sanding I came across what I thought was a bit of crap paint on the brace plate, on further inspection it turned out to be what I can only describe as chewing gum that had been shoved into what turned out to be a rusty hole. I dug all the gum out of the hole and made it a more uniform shape so I could make a repair piece that I could weld in. Before I made the repair I took the opportunity to remove all the rusty rattly crap that was stuck in there.
As the weather has been so good I was expecting a good turnout, and I wasn't disappointed.
These are my favourites out of the bunch, with the all aluminium bodied Brooklands style racer being my absoulte favourite. I spoke to the guy who made it, its basically a Westfield with mods the the chassis to make it taller around the sides and then he "just" added the ali bodywork.
All designed in his head and added to as he saw fit, every panel was made first go and before he started he'd never used an english wheel or tig welded ali in anger.
It was his post retirement project, and took him 8 months working 8 hrs a day 5 days a week.
It was proper awesome.

My garage with a finished roof and two lockable doors.
My life for the last couple of weekends has pretty much revolved around getting the steel side door sorted out.
Its skinned with a 2mm steel plate and it took me and a mate to put it back on the hinges (cheers H)

Now comes the hard part, getting the electrics sorted and signed off, and getting my bloody builder to come and sort the mistakes and blemishes in the floor. Oh and trying to stop myself filling it before all this is done as I really need to get the floor painted.

And the door (and frame) that's taken me so long to make. It might have come together a bit quicker if I had better facilities to hand but hey ho that's what I'm heading towards. And considering this is my first proper welding project I'm pretty pleased with the results.

I still have to finish the lock properly but I can lock it from the inside and come out the big door which is fine for now.
Well after winning the fight with the air box and getting it on the road it was absolutely rubbish at low revs ie would barely even pull enough to get going especially when just started and only marginally better when warm. Oh well I thought thats the price I pay for putting pod filters on need to get the jetting sorted and go one up on the pilot jet size. I looked at one of the pair to see what size was in it and checked the spare set too, all 42.5 right then I'll just go up a size and that should sort me out, however I should of checked the other carb too as when I came to fit my newly acquired pilot jets I found it to be 4 sizes too small WTF, whoever had been mucking about with these carbs was fecking retard, different size pilot jets and no blanking plugs. I dont think I could off actually test rode this bike even I I'd wanted to when I went to buy it.

I've also tried to re-build the front caliper but it's not gone well so far as I skewered the rubber boot for the piston with a screw driver and it wont bleed up. Still, I'll persevere.

I've started making the side door for my garage, 3mm thick, 40mm box section. Its my first proper welding project (I'm not counting the frame for the door that I made in 5mm angle). Its going OK even if I do say so myself, just added some cross pieces half way up today to make a crosss shape in the rectangle.

This happened

This is happening but far to slowly and is taking forever to get completed(worlds biggest garage(well in my world anyway))

And finally I've not been able to work on this for months but this is a rough mock up as I left it without anything welded but its a rough outline of how it might look.

I knew that the carbs weren't original and had been recently fitted and was told they'd need "setting up"

So the carbs had to come off for inspection, and I figured that while they were off I'd bin the air box and fit pods as a stepping stone towards the Bratstyle make over. It was a long drawn out fight that I eventually won, but there's no chance its going back on as its in a thousand pieces. Another interesting discovery was the use of 4 scouring sponges as an air filter.

I took the carbs with me on a trip into Manchester and popped into see the nice people at NRP carbs to see if they could help, turns out a vital plug was missing out the carbs and that they already had the right main jets for running pods.
While I had them off I gave them a quick check and the diaphrams are starting to go but will be ok for a bit, and I figured I might as well use the carbs tops off the second set of I think original carbs as they are a nicer and Ali, so i gave them a little buff with some autosol and the dremmel and they came up quite nice, I didn't go ott just got em a bit nicer than they were. And a hell of a lot better than the manky steel tops that the carb cleaner half melted the paint off.
I got it all back together today (eventually) and after a number of issues with the throttle cable being too tight for some odd reason I finally got it to idle properly and was able to take it out for a test ride.

Its flat as a witches tit for the most part then over 7 thou takes of like a scalded cat, lots more work with the carbs me thinks to get it running better. And in spite of mt previous attempts the front brake was still sticking so I had another fight with that too.

May attempt some more tuning this week, and another short test ride to see if I got the brake sorted.

Great lines on this bike, kicked up seat loop at the back and a new seat base, then hide the electrics and ditch the side panels and we'll be getting somewhere, far from original, but they look so good like that so why muck it up, but as I'm about to be a dad I strongly suspect that this sort of thing will be going on the back burner for a bit. Still if I can grab an hour here and there on it in the new garage who knows what may happen.

Insurance is active as of today so I was trying to get it sorted out to how I want it for now ie minus the massive rear light and indicators plus trying to flatten out some of the nasty scabs on the fork legs in the hope of prolonging the seals.

I also discovered a few more horrors thanks to flattening the battery by leaving the lights on whilst checking the indicators.

This massive ring connecting the live to the battery was barely connecting it and is almost big enough to fit over the bolt, and to boot there's no battery strap so if I hadn't secured it, the damn thing would be rattling round all over the shop. I'll be riding it this week so I hope there's no more horrors.

The seat base has a pretty bad case of tin worm, but should last me long enough to fab up a rear loop and seat base for the Bratstyle look.

It was all going quite well at this point, and I'd done some test fits of the seat to check everything was ok.

But unfortunately I ended up with this, not exactly what I was after, and I'd run out of time to sort it out, as I'd been neglecting my other DIY tasks and had to crack on with them. Oh well another hours work and a couple more holes in the already swiss cheese mudguard and we'll be there.
BUT
I'm aiming for perfection in my eyes, and am going to try and make the whole top section from one piece of tube.

There's progress on other fronts too, I have a front wheel attached and centred

But best of all, the footings for my garage are in, and what a monster its going to be, dream garage here we come.

I didn't really need another bike yet I managed to justify it to myself, and anyone else who'll listen really. I mean I do need to keep my new KTM out of the salty winter weather, and I definitely don't want a repeat of last years black ice binning it debacle on my nice new bike. The project bike is still very much that, (although I am making progress towards completing the sub frame, not enough to be worth documenting on here tho) so that's not suitable for a winter ride and the C200 is still pretty much just a rolling chassis .

So there I was in Bristol having spent a long weekend with my mate Graham helping him weld a trolley for the donor shell that being stripped of spares for his rally car. And I'm having a look through gumtree at the bike for any possible winter hacks as I'm thinking it might be a good idea to start seeing whats about in spite of the fact I have absolutely nowhere to put another bike, (the 10x8 shed just about holds the KTM).

Heart over rules head and I seriously start looking at some of the options being presented to, I desperately want the GSX-R 750 witht he last oil cooled engine for 900 quid, consider a Honda CB-1 thats stupid cheap at just over 500 quid but it does have a few running issue's so thats out, which left a lovely little 1982 GSX 400T, 400cc twin, wire spoke wheels , tax and test till Jan, truth be told I got a bit giddy about it, its crying out for a Bratstyle styled make over, and I got abit more giddy when I went to see it and forgot to check everything properly and missed the badly pitted upper fork legs and came away with it anyway.

So here she is

So yesterday I spent £40 on bits for my new cheap winter hack, new fork seals, fork boots, a cover and some grips which had to be had for £7 to replace the totally out of character ugly POS things that were on it. And today having got it out the van I had a proper look at it and did the first job on it and sorted the sticky rear drum, I stupidly dropped the back wheel out before realizing the problem was closer to the front and it was the main pivot for the brake pedal that was the issue.

No pics of that but I did give it a few coats of looking at and discovered some questionable use of sellotape. This has now been removed and replaced with proper insulation tape.
I have to wait until the end of October to put it on my multi bike policy as I dont want to pay the £25 admin fee to put it on now for just 4 weeks.

So all that remains to do now on this cheap winter hack that is absolutely not a project, is replace the gargantuan indicators and tail light with something a little more discrete, weld on a loop after shortening the rear sub frame, relocate the electrics and hide the cables, make up a new seat base and have it upholstered ...................................... you get the idea, but this is definitely not another project, no sir ee, absolutely not, just a little winter hack to keep the salt of the KTM ;0)Spud's Customshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14449600551422436610noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1484244771309364999.post-1808694776680286492014-09-08T21:23:00.002+00:002014-09-08T21:23:45.100+00:00Preston HotRod meetThe stars finally aligned with my brain cells and not only was I free, but I remembered that it was the first Friday of the month, plus a lovely night to boot so I shot up to the Hot Rod meet at the Lea Green pub just outside Preston.

Brand new Goldspeed 320mm rotor to fit my XR front wheel for just under £50 all the way from Portugul.

Now that's mint in my book. I now need to punt on the original 320mm disc I got for the NX 650 front, it'll fit an XR 650L as well so it I should be able to find a buyer on said same auction site.

With a bit of luck next week I should be able to get this fitted up and measure up for the caliper bracket so I can order all the material I need for that and the rear disc spacer, and possibly a fork brace which should look good and be functional, as well as giving me somewhere to bolt the part time front mudguard.
